Finding land or a farmer is often a long, complex undertaking. We offer a variety of FREE services to you with the goal of helping you navigate your search as efficiently and successfully as possible.

  • Profiles - Offering farmers and farmland owners a virtual bulletin board to post their land or farmer needs and efficiently look for connections is the main feature of our website. Creating your farmer or farmland profile is simple and free to create. Once published on this site, you then have access to view the full profiles of others along with their contact information. Use the profiles for exploring opportunities and making real connections.
  • Free Advising - Your farmland situation is unique. We are happy to talk through your search, ask clarifying questions, give feedback, and point you toward resources, organizations, and service providers who can provide the right support and assistance. A one-hour call could be just the thing needed to process and plan out the next steps in your search.  Your search for a farmer or farmland is a significant journey. Information and a roadmap for your journey can save you time, money, and anxiety.
  • Events - We organize and host educational and networking events to help you grow your skills, gain knowledge, and make useful connections. We also use our Events Page to list pertinent educational opportunities offered by other organizations. Recordings of past events are often made available on our YouTube page.
  • News and Information - We keep you up-to-date on the latest farmland happenings in northeast Illinois in three ways: (1) our monthly land access email newsletter brings you farmland access news, tips, and opportunities (sign up for it at the bottom right corner of this page), (2) articles written for past newsletters can be browsed by topic on our News page, and (3) you can find some of the best resources from around the country on various land access topics on the Resources Page.
