Learning Circle for Women Farmland Owners
Time: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Location: Wonder Lake, Illinois
Organization hosting this event: The Land Conservancy of McHenry County
Do you own or manage farmland? If so, you are invited to participate in a free discussion about conservation practices to improve the health and productivity of your land. Learn what you can do to improve soil and water quality while maintaining high agricultural productivity and discover what resources are available to you.
Nearly half of Illinois farmland is currently owned or co-owned by women, and more women now manage farmland on their own, inheriting it from a spouse or parents. This informal meeting will give you the information needed to make good decisions about the land you own and love.
• This event is free for women landowners but registration required and space is limited. All women landowners are welcome to attend – whatever your background, from beginner to experienced!
• We will follow current CDC COVID guidelines for everyone’s health and safety!
• We will take a short trip to a nearby farm at 1:00 p.m.
• Reserve your seat by emailing Linda at Lbalek@conservemc.org or go to
