New Farmland Profile – Jessup Farms (Will County)

Jessup Farms Map

Jessup Farms, located in Homer Glen, is our latest farmland profile. The farm is four acres with around three acres that are farmable. There is also a new farm stand building at the front of the property with plenty of parking.

After selling his successful automobile repair business, Mike Jessup bought the property and began growing fresh produce on the land last year. In a short period of time, he built a steady business and gained a following within the local community. However, he does not plan to continue farming on that scale himself anymore and would love to see a farmer utilize the land and farm store in 2022.

Mike left no detail overlooked in his development of the infrastructure on the land. In addition to the farm stand building, there is plenty of access to water, electricity, cat6 (internet), and natural gas throughout the property. In addition, there is a basic wash/pack setup as well. Mike has even purchased a brand-new greenhouse that must still be installed.

The land is immediately available for lease for the 2022 growing season. Mike is open to someone operating under their own farm name or using the existing Jessup Farms name, website, and social media. The farm has the potential to be a turnkey operation for a beginning or experienced farmer as Mike is open to negotiating a farmer’s use of the extensive collection of farm tools and equipment he has at the shop building.

Down the road, Mike might also be open to selling the land.

We encourage you to reach out to Mike right away if you are interested. Mike can be reached at mike@jessupfarms.com. And if it’s not right for you but you know someone else, please help spread the word about this very promising and unique opportunity.
